How do I quiet my mind?

0 comments Posted by Sara Wiseman on 02/18/2010 at 2:15pm

Q. How do I quiet my mind? I also have opened up and want to know how you quiet your mind. Do you get migraines? PS: I really have enjoyed your book.—A

A. Hi A! In quieting the mind, I find sleep is just a miracle. If I have a big session, say a big workshop and then a break where I have to do something else later, I just head back to the hotel room (or wherever) and crawl in the covers and take a power nap. Nothing else works as well. ALSO! It is surprising, but silly comedies or movies also help when I have had a lot of intensive readings in one day. I don't get migraines myself. But I think this kind of distraction (sleep, entertainment) could help.

Now, if you are having trouble quieting the mind DURING meditation, simply ASK for help from the Divine. Say: "Hello brain, I love your thoughts, but I'd like a break from thoughts right now" and you will quickly notice that your mind quiets. Don't worry one WHIT if you are "doing it right" or "my mind is too busy." Just go in, breathe, do whatever meditation you can, and the Divine will work the miracles for you.

Finally, it is COMMON to have a bit of a headache if you are doing a lot of psychic work. For this, you need to get grounded: eat something, such as a full meal. Sleep. Go for a walk. Do something completely "non brain" and connected, such as give the dog a bath or take a bath yourself (I don't suggest taking a bath with your dog!), get the groceries, get a coffee!!!! or have a glass of wine. Just change the chemicals up and you should be feeling better. —SARA

What do you do when you intuit something that doesn't happen?

Q. What do you do when you intuit something that does not come to fruition? Hi, Sara. You were wonderful on Voice America radio. Thank you for sharing your insights on how we all have the ability to connect with the Divine. It truly is our birthright! And the more people who we reach with this message, the more elevated our overall society will be. I channel the Divine with the use of a letter board and pendulum (www.IsisChannelingKit.com). It's simply a different tool to bring in the same energy that you do. My question is, what do you say to your students (or yourself) when you intuit an answer that does not come to fruition? It can be quite discouraging. Thanks for your light on the planet!—Mary Louise

A. Hi Mary Louise. Well, of course we have Free Will. And no, that's not the movie about the whale on VHS somewhere in your downstairs! The way I see it, a reading (or information from the Divine) is like a snapshot in time. Earth time. The snapshot will vary, each day it's taken. Now, your hair might be longer and brown. In three months, it could possibly be short and blonde... So too, the Divine provides info you can deal with RIGHT NOW, plus a peak at the long view (You will have success in selling metaphysical products overall...). The snapshot is taken, we follow Guidance or don't (or can't quite yet) and the result is what happens. What's important is to KEEP FOLLOWING guidance, every little strand and clue, every day, every moment... it's a way of living life on this earth.—SARA

Do you think it's too late for me to experiment?

Q. Do you think it's too late for me to experiment? I have a good 25-something years of spiritual baggage readings, on many subjects, but I never found a book on Divine writing like the way you put it together anywhere! and I think my guide wanted me to read *this book* the way it was written because I'm the kind of person who gets bored easily if there is no humor, I was wondering if a grand-mother of 4, (got 53 on November 24), if it was too late for me to try to know what I'm suppose to do with my life, (because I'm still searching for it, and nothing fits the bill, and can't talk to anyone about what I like, I would scare the hell out of them!) so I think it's kind of neat to have the possibility to talk to you, so do you think it's to late for me to experiment your book? Thank you for taking the time to read what I had to ask—Celyne

A. Dear Celyne. It is never too late. Never. And I think you would surprised—people would not be shocked, suprised, scared, etc. about what you like. We're all One. We all go through the same stuff.—SARA
