When are suffering, we may think our soul needs healing. However, that’s not the case. Our soul is perfect, infinite, Divine. What causes our suffering is not that there is something wrong with our essence. Instead, it is our mind that's messing us up—our thoughts, our opinions—all the stuff that comes from our past, our experiences, our beliefs. The mind is where the problem is. The mind is what requires an attitude adjustment. So, how do we do this? How do we get out of the thought loops of suffering? A starting point is to just step back and breathe. Stop trying to figure it out. Stop trying to fix it. Stop distracting yourself. Stop participating in thought drama. Instead, step back. Get some retreat, rest and respite. Have some fun, laughter, nature—any or all of these will create a shift. When we stop thought drama and do something else, the soul has a chance to illuminate and integrate all our worrisome emotions, and we return to state of calm—our natural state, in which the soul leads, and the ego is secondary. When we provide intentional space for rest and relaxation, as well as the healing qualities of nature and fun, we make exponential leaps in our soul growth. Don’t think too much about it. Just try it. Let go, take a break, have some fun. And see where that leads you. Much love, SARA SUMMER SOLSTICE WORKSHOPJoin me June 21 for GAIA LIGHT: A SUMMER SOLSTICE WORKSHOP! If you are person who lives near Nature, you already know: Nature is always around us. It is not as if we live in these homes or apartments, or we have these fences or boundaries, and Nature doesn't come in and interact with us. Nature is here! Animals are everywhere! Animals, insects, flora, trees, the wind and weather! Nature is with us always! Recently while on my bike ride, I came across a young deer, blocking the path. When II see an animal like this—quite possibly a totem animal with spiritual guidance for me—I always try to discern: • Is it strong or weak? • Young or old? • What is it doing? • What was I thinking about when I saw it? • What question was I working on when I saw it? • What came into my mind when I saw it? I slowed my bike to a standstill and there I was, 20 feet from the deer, both of us frozen. It was a holy moment, a message from the Universe, a sacred sighting. Normally, a deer this close, even a deer familiar with humans, would have turned and lept away in that flashing, bounding way that deer do. But, this deer just watched me watching it, It was fully conscious of me. It was fully aware of me. And it was not afraid. What a beautiful message to receive, in these woods on this bike path! Fully conscious. No fear. And, after what seemed like a very long while, the mood shifted. The moment was complete. You can feel this, if you pay attention: the vibration just changes, and there it is. Much love, SARA SUMMER SOLSTICE WORKSHOPJoin me June 21 for GAIA LIGHT: A SUMMER SOLSTICE WORKSHOP! Miracles are real. Except, they’re not particularly miraculous. They’re just how the Universe works. When we begin to trust in the Universe, we discover that convergences—miracle moments in which time, space, consciousness and grace all come together—are happening all the time. When we let ourselves believe in miracles, we start to pay attention to all the magic and power that is always around us. We notice the synchronicity. We get the message. We see the next clue. We find our next step. At first, when we start paying attention, it seems like miracles are happening more often! But soon, we come to the understanding: miracles are always happening. It’s how the Universe works. If you have lost your faith a little bit or a lot, take a step back from all those Misbeliefs. All that worry and angst in your head is not real. The Universe is moving in Divine Flow, just as it always has. Take a moment and just start noticing every little thing around you. When you pay attention, without expecting things to be one way or another way, you start to notice the synchronicities and convergences, and you start to see the patterns, and you start to see the miracles. And once you start to notice them, you will see that miracles—all the ways the Universe is in direct support of us—are happening all the time.
